Continental 65-P Performance 12V SLI Battery
Advantage Batteries supplies the Continental 65-P Performance as a factory-activated 12-volt SLI (Starting, Lighting, Ignition) replacement for vehicles that specify BCI Group 65. This is a flooded lead-acid automotive starter, not a deep-cycle or AGM pack. It is sold for cranking duty: 700 SAE cold cranking amps, 875 SAE cranking amps, and 130 minutes of reserve capacity in a large Group 65 top-post case.
Use this SKU when the application calls for Group 65, 12 volts, and flooded SLI chemistry. Confirm group size, tray dimensions, post layout, and cable reach before purchase. Group 65 is a long-case size used on many trucks and full-size vehicles. It is not a substitute for Group 24, 34, 65R, 78, or H6/H7. If the vehicle lists a different BCI group, this unit will not be a correct fit.
Shop the Continental 65-P online or pick it up at a qualifying Advantage Batteries location.

Warranty
Continental backs the 65-P Performance with an 18-month manufacturer warranty. That term is the one published on the Continental 65-P product page. It is not a 24-month Supreme-line term and not an Advantage Batteries house warranty unless stated separately at checkout.
Warranty coverage follows the manufacturer’s policy: defects in materials and workmanship for the published period when the battery is used as an automotive SLI unit in a matching Group 65 application. Abuse, deep discharge, incorrect group size, or use outside SLI duty typically voids coverage. Keep the purchase record. File a claim through Advantage Batteries or Continental per the policy in effect at sale.
Fitment and install notes
- Match BCI Group 65 on the existing battery or in the vehicle’s battery spec. Do not substitute a Group 24, 34, or 78 because CCA looks similar.
- Confirm top-post SAE Type A cables. This data sheet does not list side terminals.
- Measure the tray against 11.26 × 7.42 × 7.43 in before ordering. Length is the usual constraint on Group 65 trays.
- This is a flooded battery. Keep it upright. Do not mount on its side.
- Factory-activated means it ships wet and charged for install; still verify open-circuit voltage and charge if it has sat.
- After install, seat the hold-down and confirm cable polarity before the first start.
